classes & workshops: faqs and t’s & c’s

1-to-1 lessons

  • these sessions will take place in my home studio, led by me (lizzie).

  • when you book sessions online, a form will popup for you to indicate your general availability - these slots are based around my own commitments & personal studio time.

  • once you have paid online for your session/s, you will receive an email within 2 working days to arrange date/s & time/s of your session/s.

  • in the unlikely event that we cannot confirm a mutually convenient time for your session/s, you will be refunded in full.

  • once your session/s have been confirmed, you will receive an email with further details & information you might find useful (such a what to wear & visuals of the studio).

  • if you have any questions prior to booking & paying for your lessons, please do not hesitate to drop me an email.

1-to- lessons: accessibility

  • my studio is in my garden, and is accessed by one step down onto a patio & one step up through the studio door. similarly, if you need to use the toilet during your session this is accessed by a step up into the back door (we have a small ground floor toilet, which unfortunately is currently not wheelchair accessible). if you require a ramp or have any other accessibility requirements, please let me know ASAP so i can ensure your needs are met & you can fully enjoy your session/s.

1-to-1 lessons: changes & cancellations

  • life can be busy, complicated & difficult at times, so i understand that there may be times where you need to change your session/s in the event of an emergency or unavoidable commitment. should this happen, please get in touch with me via email as soon as possible (ideally at least 5 days before your date/s) so we can confirm new date/s & time/s.

  • if you wish to cancel your session/s without rebooking, i require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. in the event that you cancel (without rearranging your session) with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will only be refunded 50% of your payment.

group workshops

  • these sessions will take place either at a venue secured by you (the lead booker) or a venue agreed between us.

  • please note that venue hire is not included in the costs outlined on my website. this can either be paid directly by you, or invoiced separately by me.

  • once a venue, date, time & package/theme have been agreed for the workshop, i will be in touch with full details about the workshop which can be passed to all participants.

group workshops: payment, changes & cancellations

  • i can be flexible with how payment/s are made, depending on the most convenient way for your group to pay; payment in full from one person or payment from individuals can be accommodated.

  • please note that the venue hire must be paid in full in order to confirm your booking.

  • in the unlikely event that i must cancel your workshop, you will be refunded in full (including venue hire). if we can rearrange the workshop, i will cover any costs incurred with the venue hire.

  • please see my cancellation & refund details below in the event that the workshop is cancelled by you. please be mindful that a lot of planning, gathering of materials & resources is required in advance of the workshop:

    Notice given to cancel

    up to 1 month before: 100% refund

    up to 2 weeks before: 50% refund

    up to 1 week before: 25% refund

general information

  • i am an insured member of the a-n company. this includes insurance as a teacher or demonstrator in the visual arts, which covers my work teaching 1-to-1 lessons & group workshops.
