is everything handmade?

  • every ceramic sold has been handmade by me - thrown, trimmed, sculpted, fired, glazed & fired again.
  • as is the nature of handmade items, no two pieces will be the same, and each one will have its own little quirks. i usually list pieces individually so that you can choose which unique piece you would like.
  • the clays that i use contain grog (small gritty/sandy pieces), and although i sand bases by hand they may still be a little rough to the touch.
  • there may be slight imperfections in the form and/or glazing of full priced items - however, the ceramic's practical use is not affected by this.
  • if any imperfection affects the functionality of the piece, this will be clearly noted in the listing and discounted accordingly. i try not to discard or throw away ceramics that could still have a happy life with a different function than was intended for it.

how do i look after my ceramics bought from you?

  • as with all items that are made to be loved and used, your item may suffer general wear and tear over time.
  • due to their handmade nature, it’s best to not put your pieces in the dishwasher or use in the microwave (especially items with glittery finishes). a gentle handwash with warm, soapy water should do the trick.
  • certain ceramics (eg: oil burners) will have additional care & cautions detailed on the listing - please ensure you read & follow these instructions carefully, to use your item safely.

can i send an order directly to someone as a gift?

  • it makes me so happy that customers want to gift my ceramics to their loved ones! if you’d like to send an item directly to someone else you are more than welcome to - just include their address in the ‘shipping address’ box at the checkout.
  • if you’d like a gift message included with your item, simply fill out the option for this at the checkout.

when are you restocking your shop?

  • i restock my online shop as regularly as i can, usually once a month.
  • please note that i do not take reservations, pre-sales or hold items prior to sale.

do you take commissions/custom orders?

i do! i take custom orders for pots and mugs - please complete this form to make an order enquiry. please read the information at the top of the form, as it contains important information about the order process.

do you make for shops/wholesale?

  • i have a wide range of pieces available for shops, cafes & small venues to stock - including a special section of my website for current & potential to browse collections, check prices & submit order requests!
  • please contact me if you are interested in stocking my ceramics or ask any questions you have, with no obligation to order.

how are orders posted/shipped?

  • items are packed using recyclable, reuseable materials - please continue to be kind to our planet by recycling or reusing the packaging yourself. items come with a paper care note, which is recyclable.
  • all items are posted by royal mail or evri. i offer a range of delivery options for the uk, from ‘2nd class’ up to ‘tracked & signed for’. you can select your delivery option at the checkout. postage costs are charged by weight, and include a small cost to cover packaging materials.
  • all items outside of the uk are charged by weight and posted ‘international tracked' by royal mail, who work with a number of international delivery partners - find out which delivery company will be delivering your order once it leaves the uk here.
  • the delivery time shown at checkout indicates how long your order will take to arrive once i have packaged & posted it.
  • please note that delivery times are those indicated by royal mail. if your order has not arrived 5 working days (14 working days for international) after the estimated delivery time, please contact me and i’d be happy to help.
  • due to family commitments i may need a little longer than usual to pack & post your order, so please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be posted.
  • if your country is not listed at checkout please contact me!

can i cancel/return my order?

  • if you wish to cancel your order, please contact me as soon as possible. orders cancelled prior to posting can be refunded. orders cancelled after they have been posted can be refunded, but only when the item is returned to me. in this instance, return postage fees are the responsibility of the customer.
  • although i hope you absolutely love your ceramic when it arrives, i know that may not always be the case. if you are unhappy with your item/s, please contact me to discuss further.
  • in the event of a return (unless a fault in the making process), postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • any damages/breakages incurred during return postage will be the responsibility of the buyer.
  • please note that sales of discounted pieces or ‘seconds’ are final - i do not accept returns of these pieces.
